From a young age, Emily Anderson, B.C.O, B.A.D.O., has had a passion for the arts. Since she can remember she has enjoyed working in all artistic mediums from acrylic to woodworking. While finishing high school she also realized she had a strong desire to help people. Throughout college she worked on a variety of freelance art projects and also donated her time at The American Legion. In 2008, Emily earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University of Los Angeles.
Growing up watching her mother, Beverly Hoffman-Fuglsby, B.C.O, B.A.D.O., work in the field of ocularistry, she experienced the unique connection between creating beautiful pieces of art and helping people in need. In 2011 she began her apprenticeship under the guidance of Stephen E. Haddad, B.C.O, B.A.D.O., at Ocular Prosthetics, Inc. Working closely with Mr. Haddad has allowed her to learn a wide variety of techniques in fitting; allowing her to provide the most natural looking prosthesis to our patients. Emily has discovered over the years that she has a passion for treating difficult cases. She enjoys the challenge of using conformer therapy to reform contracted sockets and help stimulate the growth of the bony orbit in our pediatric patients.
Emily is available to see patients in the Los Angeles and Orange office locations. Special arrangements can be made to accommodate patients traveling from long distances to complete the prosthesis in one day. To schedule an appointment, please fill out the form on the Request Appointment page.
